Wired Space Photo of the Day: Heavenly Star-Forming Nebula: NGC3582 is a minor nebula in the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way galaxy. It is part of star-forming region RCW 57 in Carina. This image was taken in 2007 using the Mosaic-2 imager on the Blanco 4-meter telescope at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory.
