Middle Georgia Digital Economy Summit

Middle Georgia Digital Economy Summit

Tuesday, October 28, 2014 | 8:00am – 4:00pm
Middle Georgia State College
Conference Center

Join this gathering of businesses, technology resources and government
agencies to explore the Digital Economy in Middle GA.

The Digital Georgia Program seeks to bring together and
connect Georgia’s business, community, and government professionals to
highlight examples, best practices, and the ways people can collaborate to
benefit from Internet-age economic development, education, health care, and
community innovation.

The Middle Georgia
Regional Commission
, in partnership with Georgia Technology Authority(GTA),
is hosting the inaugural Middle Georgia Digital Summit in Macon on Tuesday,
October 28, 2014.  This first-of-its-kind event will bring together
businesses, technology resources and government  agencies to explore how
all segments of middle Georgia are engaged in the Digital Economy.  Local
community partners in the Summit include TAG Middle Georgia Chapter and Middle Georgia State College.

The Digital Economy Summit is the third component of the
partnership between MGRC and GTA’s Digital Georgia Program which includes the
development of Regional Digital Economy Plans and the creation of  SparkMacon, Macon’s first
makerspace.

Many attendees are experts in their fields and others are in the
early years of their careers. All are excited about the prospects of acquiring
knowledge and make new connections that will advance their careers, their
businesses, and their communities. Our ability to succeed using technology
depends upon the people involved and will come through the connections that
create stronger collaborations and partnerships.

The Georgia Technology Authority, which is responsible for the
Digital Georgia Program and is the sponsor of the event, wishes to thank you
for attending and making this event a success.
